About Claire: With over 15 years’ of experience working in product development and business growth, Claire understands some of the common challenges in growing and scaling a business. Currently, a working mum to a toddler and to Teddy the poodle, her day job is as a high growth Companies Account Manager at Scottish Enterprise, supporting Scotland’s future high-growth businesses. In her own time, she runs an artificial and dried floristry business from her garden studio – so she understands the pressures of running a small business in the current times. Claire is on hand today to chat through any challenges surrounding your growth, understand what’s holding you back, and providing guidance on positive steps to take to accelerate your business
About Lisa: Lisa has been supporting start-ups and growing companies for almost 20 years. Working mainly in Economic Development for Glasgow City Council where she is responsible for delivering the Business Gateway service for Glasgow. Her work focuses on supporting businesses to identify and apply for public sector funding and programmes.
Responsible for businesses across all sectors and currently based one day per week from Strathclyde Inspire Hub at Strathclyde University working with spin outs and start-ups with potential to grow.
Lisa is passionate about supporting business to create strong foundations to allow them to start and grow with the right tools and resources.
She is on hand today to discuss any aspects of business whether these are challenges or opportunities.

About Lindsay:
With over 20 years’ working in economic development, most of them in Innovation, Lindsay works direct with clients of all business sizes helping them to develop new products, processes, business models or identify new markets.
Lindsay has a Masters in Entrepreneurial Leadership so is well placed to advise early stage companies.
In her personal time, Lindsay is a convert to wild swimming and can often be found in one of Scotland’s many lochs or tidal pools in her wetsuit!
Lindsay is around today to speak to any companies keen to ensure their product idea is a valid one, share the common company failings in launching new products and help to progress your business.
About Gemma: Gemma joined the Scottish Enterprise team in 2015 and has worked in a variety of roles across the organisation, including international trade and inward investment, organisational development, and innovation. Gemma is based in Forth Valley and provides innovation project support to growth businesses across the central belt. Outside of work, her main passions are paddleboarding, theatre and music.

About Alison: Coming from a background in education and the creative industries, Alison has worked within the field of intellectual property for over 15 years, currently as an IP Specialist within Scottish Enterprise – so she has helped a lot of companies with a lot of different IP requirements!
Whether you are looking to protect your assets, strengthen your brand, enhance your investment proposition or use your IP to develop additional revenue streams, effective intellectual property management can help.
When she isn’t working with companies, Alison is mum to an 18-year-old daughter and a selection of household pets with Random the goldfish, Cleo the hamster and Nina the cat keeping her company during the working day.

Sustainability & Net Zero Transition Pod hosted by Allison MacPherson and Emma Whittet
About Allison:
Allison MacPherson has worked within the sustainability field for over two decades and has watched it growing into a leading priority for businesses. Her team supports organisations across the Scottish Enterprise Region on all aspects of sustainability and low carbon, including sourcing grant funding, reducing carbon emissions through renewables, energy efficiency and low carbon transport, alongside reducing environmental impacts of products, operations and supply chain. With two teens and a tween, she loves to run when she can.
Allison is happy to support you and your company to improve your green credentials and make the most out of the opportunities this provides.
About Emma:
Emma has been working in the environmental sector for over 8 years, supporting businesses on all things resource efficiency, from energy saving assessments and improving companies’ waste management to measuring corporate carbon emissions and developing net zero action plans.
When not working, Emma loves to be walking outdoors and exploring Scotland in Timmy II – (recently finished, self-build campervan).
